Mount Nelson is truly an oasis, a beautiful gem offering world-class accommodation and warm, exceptional service that makes you feel truly special. The staff are genuinely welcoming and always ready to assist. A special mention to Sim in the Veranda restaurant and Michael, as well as everyone I had the pleasure of interacting with. As a solo traveler seeking rest and rejuvenation before starting a week-long program in Cape Town, I found this to be the perfect hideaway. I felt completely safe and cared for, and everything about my stay was five-star in every sense. I especially enjoyed the stunning gardens and the breathtaking views from my room.

This whole experience was incredible! Our expectations were met and beyond that we were treated to countless little surprises and amenities. Never have I received these many extras that were also very thoughtful, good quality and true to the brand. Walking through the property grounds in their garden is lovely and the pool area is very relaxing. Thanks to the guest experience manager Adam Lambert we someone to talk to about our stay and they are eager to perform even better for our next stay. All the staff were super friendly and in love with our 6m baby!

Warren

Everything about our stay was an absolute delight and completely faultless. The staff were superb, especially loved the breakfast staff, who were so lovely with my son! Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had, incredible selection and quality. Our room was gorgeous, loved all the attention to detail and we had everything we could possibly need for a toddler. Honestly, this should be six stars, especially the service, everyone goes above and beyond.

Emma

I broke my ankle a few weeks before my trip to Cape Town. The Mount Nelson graciously offered a room that would work for me and my knee scooter and my 2 sisters. Our room was wonderful. The staff could not have been more helpful. The grounds and the hotel are lovely. The service was A+ and don't miss high tea. We were so enamored with the Mt Nelson we stayed there again on our return from our safari. Nothing but praise.

Margaret

Beautiful and very well maintained building with a lot of charm. Spacious rooms. Beautiful gardens and grounds beautiful art collection throughout the hotel Great gym Some team members were friendly efficient and chatty, contrarily to most others (special thanks to Sim, All the concierge team, Shepard, and one doorman)
